Special Education schools and educators have become more widely available to people today. Schools focusing on children with learning disabilities function a lot more differently than regular schools do. Special education schools now strive towards giving their students every opportunity a regular student would have. Special education teachers not only alter their teaching material to suit the students’ needs but also make it easier for them to grasp concepts. These schools aren’t just going the extra mile academically but they're making an effort to make their co-curricular activities more inclusive and engaging as well. Be it organizing a sports day before the pandemic and ensuring every child gets to experience the thrill and joy of playing games and running races. Organizing delightful debates and discussions upon a few controversial topics and being left in awe of some of the very intellectual points brought up during these sessions. All in all, special education schools show their students that their disability should never deter them from achieving their maximum potential and that the opportunities are limitless.
Special education institutions also provide more of an attentive education by incorporating smaller classrooms and a higher staff to pupil ratio. As well as experienced teachers who can tailor work to a child’s needs. The child will also mix with peers with similar disabilities and therefore reducing the likelihood of bullying and improving self-esteem.
Our students aren’t ordinary where the world tells them to stay silent due to their disability. We at TABIS encourage them, even more, to voice their opinion and make their presence felt. Education at TABIS is regarded as a process of liberation bringing forth from within abilities that the child already possesses and encouraging them to use their full potential to attain excellence. TABIS nurtures our students to be grounded but at the same time always aim for the sky.
The faculty at TABIS is trained to make every lesson enjoyable and inclusive for all students. The school emphasizes academic excellence and intellectual growth, but not through rote learning or memorization. Instead, our teaching methodology fosters inquiry-based learning and questioning, so that education can be truly internalized and absorbed.
Occasionally organizing co-curricular activities such as Language festival, Math festival, and Project day these events propel students to interact with peers and to encourage independent thinking. A group of our students annually are presented with the opportunity to participate in an observership programme that is offered by renowned companies. These programmes expose them to the idea of entrepreneurship and working hard towards their goals.
Our annual student government elections also teach our students’ leadership skills and the value of collaboration.
Special education schools reinforce a comfortable safe learning environment at the same time giving your child a unique experience and opening a plethora of opportunities for your child to pursue.
